The content of this website and blog has been created and edited by Ron Kuwahara (me). I can hardly call any of my articles to be truly original. My ideas and thoughts have been borrowed, inherited, and influenced by an infinitude of people, experiences, books, media, and culture. They are original in that I have applied ideas and processes to my own life to gain personal experience.
Ideas and Ownership
There seem to be two types of ideas. Ideas can be universal and inherent to the culture or society we live in. They are not patented, copyrighted or owned. There is no patent on honesty, or perserverance, or courage. There are no limits on drawing or painting images. There are no restrictions on activities I choose to partake in.
There are other ideas which are owned and subject to patents, copyright, etc. I cannot publish someone else’s music, poem, artwork without acknowledgment or attribution. I hope others will take the same respect when they refer to my artwork or article.
It is attributed to Picasso that
good artists borrow, great artists steal. ”

Are ideas owned or are they available for everyone and anyone to use? This is not a black and white question.
For this blog I am attempting to stay away from copyright conflicts and stealing other authors’ ideas. Where there is a possibility of a conflict I will acknowledge the source of the idea. For example, if my blog refers to an idea originating from a podcast from “This Jungian Life”, I will link provide a link. ( Podcast – This Jungian Life)
Artwork and Photography
I am planning to have all artwork photography in the blog to be created by me. The artwork in particular is copyrighted and should not be borrowed unless it is attributed to me (Ron Kuwahara).
Issues of Originality
It is my hope that readers will find my blog of general interest and not be too caught up by issues of originality and ownership.
It is not my intention to claim ownership of the ideas and activities discussed in the blog. Rather my intention is to widely share them for the good of all.
